The bald cypress were in full autumn color as seventeen paddlers enjoyed another beautiful Texas November day on the water. And having the temperature climb into the 70's simply added to the ideal setting and experience.
A new paddler: Cynthia introduces her friend Aini to Nancy.
Joline massaging the bottom of her kayak on the rocks.
Tom, Reiko, and Bing ready for the river.
But first a quick (and unsuccessful) attempt to diagnose the source of the smoke emanating from the steering column of the shuttle vehicle, Henry's minivan.
Susan at the put-in under the IH-10 bridge.
Miguel at the portage.
Reiko about to be devoured by the root of all evil.
Steve with his daring seal launch - showing off, as usual.
Joline enjoying the show.
Cynthia gives Aini some pointers.
Pablo under way.
Cynthia enjoys the challenge, as Pablo is ready to offer assistance.
Another overhanging tree.
Lance ponders the eternal question: Candy or blueberries?
Keep passing!
Bing sharing his wisdom about something or other.
Milo patiently eyeing the passing of the bread and butter.
Back to the water.
Aini and Steve make it through the tight squeeze.
Under the canopy.
Nearing the end of a great day on the Guadalupe.
