Well, it was another game of comebacks for the Diablos. As usual, the team fell behind by a goal, but then scored twice to take the lead. Only this time, some lax defending at the end allowed SportsLife to score the tying goal on a free kick with just a couple of minutes left in the game. The result was a 2-2 tie, leaving the Diablos with a still impressive record of 4-2-1 (W-T-L).

Noel chips the ball forward.

Peter elevates for a header.

Aries controls the ball as sweeper, ...

... and then splits two attackers with the dribble.

George, after an absence of several years, showed that he is still a solid defender.

Chris hustles to put pressure on a defender, ...

... then beats his man to create a clear path to the goal.

Jeff attacks up the left wing.

Amir calmly takes a penalty kick after a defender handled the ball to prevent a goal. His shot easily beat the keeper, but unfortunately hit the right post. Chris charged in for the rebound, but sailed his shot over the crossbar.

Juan protects his vital areas. He must have a tender heart!

Juan defending the left flank.

Art watches his shot heading for the corner. GOOOOOOALLL. Ties the score at 1-1.

His reaction shows that he must have scored before, ....

... but his teammates rush to congratulate him anyway.

Art continues the pressure.

A perfect chest trap executed by Art.

Amir heads the ball towards Jason.

Rob on the loose!

Aries and George defending the lead.

Amir does his part, too.

Jason challenges on a header, loses his bandanna, and hustles to gain the ball.

Despite a nice effort by Andy, a last-minute free kick finds the corner of the net, knotting the score at 2-2.

The first team shot of the season records the best game attendance ever by the Diablos. Lambert and Mehran also played, but had to leave early. It's OK to smile, Jeff.
