London

Despite this dire warning (from a sign along the Thames path), I slept late today. Kathy finally had me removed from bed, and we took an early afternoon bus ride towards the river. After a short walk, we hit the Thames near Chelsea Bridge, then proceeded along the path downstream to Vauxhall Bridge and the Tate Britain.

We made it a short day, leaving the museum's fantastic collection of British art shortly after sunset to ride the tube back to the flat. After dinner at a small Thai restaurant, the evening was spent doing laundry and packing for our trip to Venice in the morning. Very early in the morning, as a taxi will pick us up at 4:00 a.m. and take us to Victoria Station to catch the Gatwick Express.
